What it is

What it is

Abortion Clinic Closures and Care Churn is a mixed-methods project that includes studies to examine how abortion facilities and health care providers respond to regulatory restrictions. The projects also assess what policies, laws, and regulations contribute to facility closures and changes in service delivery. It describes impacts of facility closures and responses to regulatory changes on abortion availability in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

Why It's Important

An undeniable factor in the patient experience is the environment in which they seek and receive care. The studies in this project allow us to understand better the complexity of the reproductive healthcare landscape in Ohio and the surrounding states – and the impact of that complexity.
