Andrea Constant is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociolgy and a graduate student affiliate of the Institute for Population Research at The Ohio State University. She has earned her B.S. degree in Social Science and Sociology from Frostburg State University, her M.A. in Sociology with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Women’s and Gender Studies from Syraucse University, and M.A. in Sociology from The Ohio State University. Her research interests meet at the nexus of carceral studies, social determinants of health and well-being, and Black girlhood studies. She is currently a graduate research assistant for OPEN.
