Kirkendall earned her BA in Psychology with a concentration in Community and Global Health from Macalester College and her PhD in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati through the Community and Organizational Research for Action program. Her dissertation research examined the psychosocial impacts of state-level abortion policy, including associations with anxiety, reproductive autonomy, and beliefs about gender roles. With OPEN, Kirkendall works as a Senior Research Associate and primarily contributes to the Patients’ Experiences Project.
