Post-Roe Ohio
Map: Post-Roe Ohio & Surrounding States
What does abortion access for Ohioans and residents of nearby states look like now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned? There are still many unknowns, but OPEN research can illuminate possible outcomes.
This movie shows how legislation rapidly changed in Ohio and surrounding states during the first six months following the Dobbs decision. For longer-term potential legislative scenarios, OPEN researchers have compiled a database summarizing predicted future abortion access conditions state-by-state in the United States.
Please note the abortion access landscape is changing rapidly. Maps can become quickly outdated, though OPEN will update the information as frequently as possible. Additionally, individual clinics may be following a more restrictive gestational limit than those dictated by state policy.
As of 5/15/23, the breakout map above will no longer be updated on a weekly basis; it will only be updated when new changes occur.
