Underwood is a licensed social worker and Ph.D. Student at The Ohio State University College of Social Work. She received her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and her dual Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in Latin American Studies and Urban Studies. Underwood is interested in health policy, adolescent and young adult populations, access to contraception, implementation science and community engaged research. She worked previously on OPEN’s Investigating Ohio’s High Infant Mortality project. Currently, Underwood is a Research Assistant contributing to the Ohio Survey of Women project.
