Ayaz Hyder, The Ohio State University

Hyder is an affiliate of the Translational Data Analytics Institute at The Ohio State University. He earned his PhD in Biology at McGill University and completed postdoctoral training in environmental epidemiology at Yale University and in health services research at the University of Toronto. Hyder’s research focuses on leveraging data analytics, systems thinking, and complex systems modeling to translate data into action. His current research focus is on infant mortality/birth outcomes, modeling the opioid epidemic, food insecurity, and Smart and Connected Communities. Hyder leads OPEN’s Investigating Ohio’s High Infant Mortality project.
