Emily Kim, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Kim is a medical student at the University of Cincinnati, where she also earned a BS in Medical Sciences and a minor in Sociology. She started working with OPEN as an undergraduate and is leading a publication on the provision of abortion referrals in Ohio’s family planning safety net. In medicine, Kim is pursuing the path to become an OB/GYN with a dedication to social science research and advocacy in sexual and reproductive health. Kim is a research assistant for OPEN’s Administrators in Ohio’s Contraceptive Safety Net project.
