Emily Neiman


PhD student and Clinical Instructor of Practice | The Ohio State University

Neiman is a Clinical Instructor of Practice in the College of Nursing at The Ohio State University, as well as a Certified Nurse-Midwife at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She is a PhD student in the College of Nursing at The Ohio State University. She currently teaches graduate courses on the clinical practice of certified nurse-midwives and women’s health nurse practitioners, as well as the history of midwifery and advanced health assessment. Neiman earned a BA from Kent State University in Psychology, an MS from the University of Kentucky in Experimental Psychology, and an MSN from The Ohio State University in midwifery and women’s health. Her research interests include examining the role of reproductive health care access, including abortion care, on the racial disparities in maternal and neonatal outcomes. Neiman serves as the faculty advisor for Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health at The Ohio State University. She is a Research Assistant for OPEN’s Ohio Survey of Women.
