Hillary Gyuras

Research Assistant | The Ohio State University

Gyuras is a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Master’s program. Her master’s project explored the limitations and potentials of the liberalization of state abortion laws. Prior to this work, Hillary earned her BA in both Women’s and Gender Studies and Law and Social Thought from the University of Toledo. She also worked for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio for five years where she developed and led a peer education program in northwest Ohio and provided comprehensive sexuality education to both youth and adults. In her spare time, Hillary enjoys hiking, reading, and caring for her plants. A novice baker, she hopes to one day master her grandmother’s pie crust recipe. She currently works as a Research Assistant on two OPEN projects: Patterns in Abortion Use in Ohio and Surrounding States and Abortion Clinic Closures and Care Churn.
