Rachel Mason

Mason is a PhD student in Health Services Management and Policy, College of Public Health at The Ohio State University. They completed their MPH in Epidemiology in 2019 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to beginning work on their PhD, Mason worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio as a Clinical Research Associate. Their research interests lie at the intersection of gender, inequality, and healthcare access. Mason’s dissertation work seeks to document the administrative barriers patients face while trying to navigate the complex and fragmented healthcare system in the United States. Mason is a Research Assistant within OPEN and contributes to the Ohio Survey of Women project.
