Muzyczka is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati where their research interests are focused in the area of Fat Studies, particularly the medicalization of fatness, as well as gender, race, and sexuality related health inequalities in abortion care. They earned an MPH from the University of Florida in 2020 focusing on LGBTQIA+ adolescents’ mental health. As a current OPEN graduate researcher, they are actively engaged in research surrounding interstate travel for abortion care and abortion care access of Queer patients. Muzyczka serves as a research assistant for OPEN’s Experiences of People Seeking Abortions and Patterns in Abortion Use in Ohio and Surrounding States
